I have a profit sharing check coming to me in August and this is just some free money. It should be around $1500.00. We had a pretty good quarter.

My question is what would you buy as far as tackle goes?

Rods, lures, fishing line, reels, etc......

hmmm thats a tough question man. Actually... get yourself a trailer and a nice foot controlled trolling motor for that john boat you showed us... OR... look in the classifieds in your area for a nice 14' john boat all set up and ready to go
you can get a lot of john boat for 1500 bucks. :clap:

I have already done that. The trailer is out at my dads land and the boat isn't quit finished yet. I have all the materials needed to fix but no time.

stock up on some Lucky Craft baits... some gamakatsus... some chatterbaits... some sweet beavers... hmmm
do you have yourself a good depth finder or gps yet? if not thats what Id get

The lucky craft lures sound great as well as the depth finder. I'm selling my chatterbaits. I posted them in the selling section of this forum.

If I had $1500, I would get all the CastAway Rods that I wrote down the other day to get. Then, with the left over money, I would get an assortment of Zoom, RI, and GYCB lures. ;D

I would invest in some good quality rods and reels. I firmly believe in having good equipment. Then I would stock up on baits (Cutthroat Jigs, Netbait Trailers, Zoom lizards in a variety of colors, buzz baits, spinner baits, pop-r's, senko's, crank baits, chatterbaits and finesse worms. Then I would stock up on the lead weights, line and hooks. If I had anything left over, I would go enter a tournament and win some more money!

I would buy my wife some cooking lessons and if anything was left, I would get a good gps\depth finder, maybe a couple of good rods and some new lures
