What Mono?

What mono does everyone use? I've been partial to Trilene XT and XL. I use the XL for cranking and the XT spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I also like the XT for soft jerkbaits.

I was using Suffix DNA, but I ran out of it and can't seem to find it anywhere. So now when I use mono I've been using Berkley Big Game. Anybody know where I can get Suffix DNA I would appreciate it.

I have switched to fluro totally. I tried out the Power Pro braided but really didn't like it all that much. But I use to use Trilene Big Game. If I couldn't get anymore Yo-Zuri then I would switch back to Trilene.
lines;
Trilene Big Game for cranking, surface lures and buzzers.
P-Line CXX for jerk baits, spinner baits, spoons etc.
Sunline Sniper* or Bass Special** fluorocarbon for worms & jigs
Fins Superbraid for night and heavy cover.

*Sunline Sniper 100% fluoro, $17 spool/110 yds
** Sunline Bass Special is a hybrid similar to Yo-Zuri. $15 spool/33o yds

I am surprised you did nit like the power pro,You are the first person that did not like it.As for line I use pline cx and power pro braid.I just spooled a reel with halo(plines fluro) have ot wet it yet but i am looking foward to it.
I have always liked Berkely Sensation for mono. It's a good all around mono. I'm going to try some Sufix elite this year. However, all of my worm fishing is done with co-polys or flouros. I use mono for topwater, spinnerbaiting, and flippin sometimes.
i guess i'm alone on this one
stren clear blue for spinning outfits, seaguar fluro for most mt baitcasters, one with braid that i get into the much with and throw the frogs,

When I was using mono I always liked Berkley Trilene XL, XT and Sensation. I used Vanish for the floracarbon selection. If I had to I would go back to it in a split second

I did not like PowerPro either so for a braid I use mainly Spiderwire Stealth. It's small line diameter just flies off the reel and does not give you that braid squeal sound you get with other braids. I use Stealth mainly for cranks, spinnerbaits, frogs and flipping.

For all my other applications I have replaced my mono with Yo-zuri clear. I really like the durability and strength Yo offers.

I use a combination of Stealth and mono for my Carolina Rigs.

I be interested in everone critique of Yo-zuri line

I liked it at first but then I didn't care for it. Just seemed to stiff. I'm just not a braided type of person I guess. I did give it a good shot though.
I was a Berkley Trilene XT fan for years and changed to P-Line CXX because of better knot and abrasion strength. The only Berkley line I use today is 10 & 12 lb Big Game, buy it in 1/4 pound spools and change it often. Tried the Berkley Vanish and Transition fluorocarbons and had mixed results, occasionally the line fails above the knot in mid line from unknown reasons. The pro's I know all use Sunline so I have tried it. The Shooter is great line, too expensive when you pay full price. The Sunline Sniper is good and no problems breaking above the knot. Sunline Bass Special is reasonable price hybrid that I like better than Yo-Zuri.
Fins superbraid I use for both salt and fresh water applications, is a Teflon coated fiber braid that cast extremely well and great knot holding strength.
I do not know of one line that works well on all applications, no panacea yet!

I use Trilene XT 15 lb test on one of my baitcasters and Trilene XT 8 lb on my spinning rod. All the other bait casters are spooled with Yo-Zuri hybred right now(as of two weeks ago). I'm gonna give it a good test and see how I like it.

Mono is Berkley big game.
Copolymer is Silver Thread
Fluoro is (Haven't found one I like yet. They are too inconsistent and Vanish is the worst of all of them. I have broke that line too many times for me to ever give them a shot again)
Fluoro hybrid is YoZuri. Their hybrid line is excellent. I have not had many issues with this line so far. So it is a inbetween floro and mono that I like.
I , like most others have tried MANY different lines and probably not finished trying them yet lol.

I have pretty much went away from MONO but when I was useing it, I kinda liked the BPS brand #14

I currently use 2 diferent lines. Yo-zuri and then I use Power Pro for flippen / pitching in thick stuff.
