The rig I use most often is an All Star 6'6" medium action spinning rod with a Daiwa SS Tournament SS1600 spinning reel spooled up with 20lb Power Pro braided line. I've had both the rod and the reel, and had them paired up together, for 15 years now :)

For right now, I am stuck with a 6'6" MH Quantum Torsion Rod with my old Shimano Curado 200B. That's the one rod that I have used the longest, since I did have that reel on my All-Star.

I am waiting for my CastAway Rod to get here, to retire the Torsion to catfishing. :)

The reels I  use are Shimano. ( Curado 100, 200 ) I also have the new Citica .. I have a few Falcon 7' MH rods also a 7' H ( Rick Clunn BPS rod ) .. Im still in the market to get a few extra heavy rods.

I normaly take 4  with me as I go as a Non-boater and cant take everything with me.( so my MH's I use for almost everything, except pitching into real bad stuff )

Whatever works. I don't believe in a confidence bait or technique. It seems that is trying to forced feed fish something they may not like.

Now, if you ask what I like to fish it would be deep diving crankbaits and Senos

My buddy Tim, tighe on here, uses st croix almost exclusively. I have had the chance to cast and use his rods at times. They are very nice feeling and handling rods!
