Ahh my old stomping grounds .. spent many many hours fishing these

Big Sandy Creek
Coopers Rock Lake
Dry Fork (Randolph/Tucker)
North River
Whiteday Creek

one thing I love about WV DNR they always stock brood stock ( 3-10lbs ) in the streams along with the 10 - 15" fish.
Here in TN Ive never seen them stock fish over 15" but with so little pressure on or stocked waters compared to WV, and PA area they get a chance to grow to trophy sizes on their own. Never see the elbow to elbow that you saw every time the stock truck rolled through. And TN tells you what day they will stock a lake or stream.. no need to chase the truck.. or rely on the stock truck phone network.
LOL BUT , You have to get passed the "Stock truck Fallowers" to get to any of those wholes. Cranberry is West Virginia best trout fishin' waters IMHO.
