Use Your Cell Phone to Aid Your Fishing

I dont know how many of you have a cell phone that has an alarm that will play audio files but if you do you may find these files that I made of interest.

When fishing yesterday I wanted to know what the tide was doing at all times so I set the alarm on my cell phone to alert of each stage and stage change. This way I could continue fishing without having to worry about remembering the tide times, or having to stop to look at a print out.

I made several audio files with a program I have that converts text to speach and then puts it in a wav forma. The wav format can be played on a computer, a cell phone, cd player and many other devices as its pretty univerals.

Anyway I made several wav files for my alarm and they will all work on cell phones that will play audio files such as mp3. However if for osme reason your phone only plays mp3 and not wav files and you would like these alarm audio files, let me know and I will convert them all to mp3 files.

Three of the wav files are to alert of the approaching weigh in time. There is one for a 60 minute warning, one for a 30 minute warning and one for a 15 minute warning.
the files are 15minuwarning.wav 30minwarning.wav and 60minwarning.wav

Outgoingtide.wav and incomingtide.wav will alert you to when the tide starts doing exactly that, coming in or going out.

fullhightide.wav and fulllowtide.wav will alert to when the tides have reached their highest or lowest and have stopped completely before their turn-around.

To save the files just right click on the file here and click "save target as" If you have any problems saving them just let me know.

To hear them you will only need to click on them.

Now all you need to do is load them into your phone and set your alarms using these files.

It's so cool being out on the water and hearing the alarm going off and knowing exactly whats going on. :thumbup01:

By the way, as I think up more audio files that would make good alarms for our fishing I will create them. Also, if anyone wants a woman's voice or a man or woman with an english accent, I can make those up as well. If you come up with any ideas for an alarm audio youd like, just post it and I will create it for you.

Good idea Jared. But the dude doing the talking needs to wake up. :D Pick a sexy womans voice haha.

I wish I would have done this when I fished the St. John's river in Jacksonville.
