I have a few rods that I will be looking at so can yall give me an opinion on some of them? These will be for my baitcasters.

1.) Browning
2.) Bionic Blade
3.) Tourney Special
4.) G-Loomis (they are proud of there rods. $$$$$ WOW)
5.) ST.Croix ($$$$$$$ WOW again)

I think I am leaning toward the Bionic Blade.

G-Loomis rods are the best rods made, and that's why they are so expensive. The price is well worth it.

St. Croix Rods are the working man's kind of rod. They are quality rods and the price isn't going to kill your pocket.

As for the two BPS rods, as I told Rodney, I would look to spend my money elsewhere. They might be great for some folks, but for me, I am not going to spend my money on them.

As for the Browning rods..........they are alright, and I have friends that use them, but I haven't heard any rave reviews concerning them.

St. Croix and G-Loomis are your two best bets out of the ones that you listed.

I may have to check out the Browning rods.  I haven't heard anything bad about them either which the old saying goes "no news is good news."

G-Loomis rods are way to expensive.  I wouldn't dream of paying that kind of money for one.  They may be good but they're not that good to me.

They aren't just good, they are literally the BEST on the market. As for me, I will stick with All-Star, or if Mary D. tells me all that I want to know about the Castaway Rods, I might take a venture into them.

What makes it the best rod? Is it because of the material it is made out of or was it used by a pro angler that won a tournament? I'm serious, what makes it special or "the best?"
G
I believe that it's because of the materials that they are made from, and the anglers that have used them have sang their praises. Remember, it's not only the products that a company produces that makes the company great, but also the customer satisfaction and the customer service when problems arise.

I have never once hear a negative thing about G-Loomis, their company, or their rods.
Tex, good thing you havent discoverd Kistler rods. They are very proud of their rods.
G
Yea, I forgot all about Kistler Rods. On the same level with G-Loomis, too. :)
Hey BigTex

If you live near a Gander Mountain, go in a look at the Guide Series Pro Select or Guide Series Ultimate Series, or if you want to spend a lot, the Guide Series Ultimate Titanium Series.. take it from me that they are AMAZING rods, all made by St. Croix specially made for Gander Mountain.

Because they are a Gander Guide Series exclusive, they are relatively inexpensive for what you get, and of course they are all guaranteed under ANY circumstnce, for LIFE!

give em' a look, I pretty much only use Guide Series and Falcon Rods (sponsored by gander, guide series comes free!)
G
Thanks Mike. I get paid and have a few days off next week, so I will be heading up to Gander Mountain. Its only about 30 to 45 min. away.

I believe G Loomis are the best there is too. What I base my opinion on is the fact that they basically gave birth to the graphite rod blank. Before them, fibreglass was all anybody could use.
Matter of fact I would be willing to bet that MOST custom rod companies, use G Loomis blanks. If Im not remembering wrong, I believe even some big name rod companies were using G Loomis blanks... may still be... I dont know.
I have several brands, and G Loomis is the gold standard. PERIOD. If you don't want to spend the money, Falcon is great(they might be using G Loomis blanks :D), and I haven't had any problems out of BPS rods. Their Johnny Morris combos are worth the money indubitabibabibably. On the other hand, I will never pay for another shakespeare product as long as I live. they are :banghead: :flip: :cussin:&^%$#%^&^%$^&**&^%^&
