I have a Garmin fish finder on the deck of my bass boat and recently realizing that the quality of the screen is very poor. As well during the hot dog days of summer the screen will fade out and become hard to see and it's not my polarized sunglasses. Does anyone else with this issue bc I also have a small humminbird 170 which is half the cost and it has a lot better screen quality so is it just bc its a garmin or is something wrong with the unit it's self

What model of Garmin do you have. There are different types of screens utilized. Does it help when you change the angle that you look at the screen from?

It's a garmin 160c model I believe its a recent model and I have tried different angles but it will start to fade out by itself and I'm not sure if its the unit or an electrical problem.
