That right there is a BIG bass. Way to go. When did you catch it? You can't just post a picture and not tell us the WHOLE story. ;D LOL We feed on DETAILS. We have to have DETAILS. Feed me some DETAILS.
ok. here it goes the best fishin story of my life {so far}
A friend and i were in a canal in palm coast florida, caught a few on frogs so we stuck with them for the day. they are hard to put down after a few biguns her splash them. but any ho we come across this smaller canal, mid august , tons of shade , and i get the bright idea of flinging my nice new spro frog back in there as far as i can sitting down and from the uncomfortable side for long casts. i of course went over the lowest hanging branch so i decide to reel it up and try again get almost to the branch and change my mind figured i was half way back in there i might as well bounce it on the water a few times i we can go back in and get a fish if we have to . so i push the button on my trusty baitcaster and the frog starts falling for about one second befor an owl yes an owl comes out of the woods grabs my frog and proceeds into the woods on the other side for about 20 yards. all i could say was what in the > was that my partner looks and asks how the heck i got my line over a limb turned left and 20 yards back into the woods. he didn't belive me either. we pull his little pond prowler 10 ' plastic sitting room only.back into this even smaller canal.gators, black widows all kinds of fun critters down there. when we get into position to see the owl and possibly get my frog back i look over his shoulder and there sits the second owl not 10' from his head. now we start thinking that this was all a plot by the critters to pay us back for sticking a few bass with some sharp hooks. but i did get out alive and will be back soon. i just never knew how small that pond hopper was till i couldn't find a place to hide : and yes i did get my frog back.
just a big note cause its cold outside and we got some snow last night

Real nice bass and the owl story is great. Did you get that 7 pounder on the frog?
Those gar can be hard to hook even though they try to eat everything.
shannon
yup that one came on that frog it was the only color we threw that weekend and did great lots of 2-4#ers caught the second 7#er on a 6" paddle tail green pumpkin.
that boat is great its my buddies that now lives down there we used to take it wading to fish the ponds without access > . had a little harness and dragged it behind wasn't to bad, sure made it easier to wade alot further with the boat to ride in on the way back ;D. do u have any type of rudder for the back of ur boat? he keeps the trolling moter up front and the back tends to swing alot i'm designing a rudder for the back thats easy to put on and take off.

This makes two of us who need a solution to that problem. I read something in bassmaster mag. I'm going to try. Build a rudder out of some scrap steel and clamp it on the back end of the boat. If it works I'll try to figure out how to put a diagram online.
ok i got it figured out
take the clamp on mount for an old trolling motor{ just saw 2 on ebay} cut off a wood oar take the belt sander to it till it fits the hole drill a smal hole in the back of the housing to secure the oar to the trolling motor bracket..
u can tilt it up out of the way, make the paddle as long as u want. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=300050493858&rd=1,1
this is the one i was looking at
hope it helps
and did u want to sell one of those pond prowlers?
