Headed out of EC this morning and went about 18 miles out. Ended up going 7 for 10 on the day.
Downriggers didn't get a single hit. Meat rigs on Dipsys running 180 back and spoons on 10 color were the ticket today. Green was their favorite color.
Did catch my first king on copper today. This fish had no quit and took me well into the mono backing. First time I had a fish give me muscle spasms. The kings we caught last year were much bigger but had no where near the fight this brute had.
TC was 50-55 FD and most of the fishing was in 79-95 FOW. Could have been out all day in a jon boat without any issues today. She was flat flat flat.
Electric knife working well, but going through the skin on me. Always did have some trouble on salmon. Perhaps thinner skin?
