The South Lake Bass Anglers Fishing Club held it’s monthly fishing tournament at the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. Launch site was at Lake Shipp Park in Winter Haven. With temperatures soaring in the mid 90’s the fishing would surley be on the tough side. First place went to Scott of Clermont with a 5 fish limit weighting 14.66#. Second place was Brian O. of Clermont with 5 fish weighting 10.62#. Third place from Groveland was David E. with 5 fish weighting 9.33#. Fourth place goes to Rodney of Groveland with 4 fish weighting 7.48#. And Fifth place was Paul of Clermont with 4 fish weighting 6.38#.Big Bass goes to Carl of Leesburg with a 5.30# bass.
The club had 24 entries with 17 anglers bringing 44 bass to the scales for a total of 86.53 lbs, 7 anglers did not bring any fish in .All fish were release back to be caught again.
