The rumor is that Jonny Morris was buying Bass and Gander Mountain. But I can't buy on to these rumors. I believe it is idle forum talk w/o much foundation, but it is out there on several sites.

They also mentioned that Wal Mart is getting out of the fishing business which means dropping FLW. I read that today on "another" site.

I would seriously question that rumor. I heard the same thing and talked to one of the managers and he said that they were expanding the fishing dept. and cutting back on selling weapons. (Shotguns and bullets)

I thought for a moment that it was true because of all the baits that were on sale but they were just cleaning house.
