Don Iovino recently made a video program with Roland at El Salto to demonstrate how to fish swimming jigs. The program is shown on the Outdoor network and I have not watched it yet. Dons tells me it's a great show, not he is bias. Anyone watched this yet?

I watched it and they caught some nice bass. Several 10lbers. I remember because Roland had a new sponsor he was pushing and it was a hook removal kit haha.

I think Don spanked Rolands butt ( bigger fish anyways lol )
It wouldn't suprise me any. Roland needs a notch or three taken out of his hat. I haven't seen the show, though. I don't watch infomercials.
Was this a Infomercial or a fishing show? Still have not had a chance to see it. Don needs to promote himself, his business relies on his name. One reason that I want to see this, is to point out that Don, the father of finesse fishing, can power fish with the best of them....just ask him who he thinks is the best jig fisherman.

I got the chance to meet and hang out for a bit with Roland and his wife when I went to the Classic in PA in 2005.
I went up there with all access media passes and Trton Mercury through a party for the pros and the press. Roland was hanging out with a fat stoagie and a small glass of something or other. He never stopped smiling for the most part. He was pretty nice to me when I met him and spoke to him.

I had a blast at that party... well that whole week actually. One day when I get some time I have a load of stories to share about all the pros I hung out with drinking beers and eating chicken wings. lol

Roland is one of the good Ole boys and very friendly. The late Tom Mann was the most fun to be around and always talked to everyone. Years ago Roland was out here and tried to talk me into taking him to one of our giant bass lakes at night, when it was closed. Just like all of us, he wanted to catch some big bass and didn't have the time to fish during the day. Now the top names can fish the closed area's in these lakes with special permits for video production. Don will always talk to anyone and give you straight answer, he is one of the best with sonars.
