Saturday morning, Al and I plus Brian H and Dogg headed down to the WinterHaven Chain of Lakes to do a little pre-fishing for our tournament this coming Saturday. ( Al & I teamed up , Brian H and Dogg teamed up )

Brian H & Dogg got the majority of their fish off of docks as they couldnt buy a bite in the grass. We couldnt buy a bite off of docks ( go figure lol )

Al picked up 2 from 2 different mouths of canals going into different lakes with a fluke.
He picked up 2 more flipping the outside of grass with a brush hog .( I was flippen deeper into the grass )

I picked up 2 off an Alluring senko from some ' buggy whips ' ( only had the 2 bites all day )

I think if I dont get paired with Al and the person will listen to me, I might be able to get us on some fish. ( outside of grass, not deep in the grass .... by buggy whips also )

Im teamed up with our new President, Scott.
Scott and I have teamed up 3 times in the past so we are very familiar with how each fishes.

Scott has prefished this lake and said he had found some fish, so he let me know where and how we are gonna fish. ( also what lures he was catching them on ) ..... We are going into another lake that Al & I didnt go into.

Either tomorrow night or Sunday I will post my report of the tournament on this thread . Then when the offical report is done I will post that in the proper forum.

We will be launching into Lake Shipp at 6am. Weigh in will be at 2pm.

Well, the tournament is now history . It was a super hot day and I was kinda glad our weigh in was at 2 instead of 3.

I must give props to my partner Scott ( who is our President ). He had us on fish from the get go. So we didnt even go to my spots I had found with Al.

We launched at about 6:15 from Lake Shipp and went into Lake Mae . ( wont say where at in Mae though lol ) The area we was working was kinda narrow and it was hard for both of to be fishing a top-water. After about 10 minutes I gave it up and went to pitching. Scott was killing them on the Devils Horse. By 8:00 he had his limit . I had 2 off the Alluring Senko by 8:00.
We found them schooling up once in there and we both got one on the topwater ( Devils Horse for him, and I had a spitter on )
Then it was a slow grind for the remainder of the day.I landed my 4th bass way under a dock at about 1:00pm.
At the weigh in, my partner Scott had smoked the field with over 14 pounds. My fish looked like dinks compaired to his. I ended up in 4th place with 4 fish going at 7.48 pounds.

Next month Scott and I will be paired up again. The way we do it is the highest placing Boater and non-boater are paired up and go out in boat 1.

Soon as the offical report is done I will post it in the proper forum.
