I see a lot of posts with dead image links. (little white boxes with red x's in them) The reason is simple... people post the images and the images are hosted on Photobucket and then they remove the image from Photobucket. Please lets refrain from this or I will have no choice but to delete the entire post. After all what good is the post to the people who never saw the images when they were there?

The other option is if you are going to post images with your posting go to the "Additional Options" and "Attach" the images. This way they will stay with your post permanently. The Bassholes runs on 2 terrabytes (thats 2000 gigabytes) of server space so I am not worried about running out of space due to members posting too many pictures. It ain't gonna happen. ;)

Of course the other option is to NOT delete images you have posted to posts on this site from your Photobucket.

If you cant do either of the two, then at least leave the images up for a week, to give me time to save them to the server so even if they are deleted from your photobucket they will still show in your posts.

Thanks All

Hope you dont mind Jared

First of all you will need an IMAGE HOSTING SITE.

http://www.photobucket.com

Open an account with them, but PLEASE abide by the host rules. Once you have opened an account and activated it via the ACTIVATION E MAIL you can start to upload images.

To upload an image open PHOTOBUCKET
On the screen you will see the options like this

Click the browse button, that will take you to your images.
Click on the image you want to upload, then click open, that will take you back to photobucket, click SUBMIT, that begins the upload.Once the upload has finished you are ready to put your image link on the site

Under the IMAGE you will see URL, then the address in the box next to it,as below

put your cursor on the left click then it will change DARK colour, right click then click COPY, come to the site then on topic all you do is RIGHT CLICK YOUR MOUSE, THEN CLICK PASTE

Here's a free programme to resize your images

Formati 11 Download

Then your ready, to use fallow the instructions

PS

Always have TWO WINDOWS OPEN when posting IMAGES

Jared I had problems with disappearing pictures because I used Yafro as my image host and they went down. A lot of my pics came back, a lot didn't :-\

I switched over to photobucket because it seems a lot more reliable, and I apologize for the ghost pictures.

But on the other hand, if ya cant see the pics, who really knows how big those fish were? ;D

sweet bruce! me too. Ive done a lot of free lance stuff over the last decade or so. Never held an official job as one tho as I dont have the official education many places seek. Photoshop is probably the only piece of software I could never live without. lol Ive been using it since PS 2.0.

I really appreciate the offer you extended to all the members. Thank you :)
