One company that Ike sponsors makes a d-s hook that swings on a wire with loops on top and bottom. A few days ago I had some open water to try out the idea after making the contraptionin my basement using soft coated floral arrangement wire (remember the grub keeper idea?).

The action is improved like you wouldn't believe because now you have a bait that not only flutters horizontally but changes direction with the slightest rod movement, swinging right and left. A bass hit the lure on the first pitch but I got the finesse bait out of its mouth before it hooked itself.
No more palomar knots to tie or constantly making sure the hook is horizontal.

I'll make more up in the two sizes of d-s hooks I use as well as for light wire J hooks I use for d-s panfishing.
