I think two worn off spots on the head of the bait that look like eyes can mak a big difference. Bass key in and strike the eyes of what they are eating. thus having eyes at the front o the bait along with the sound the bait makes from the front and the vibration from the front of the boat it will increase hookups, because the bass will be focusing and striking the front of the bait.
