Anyone located near Murphy, North Carolina? Seems as the good Lord has answered my prayers and I'll be leaving Maine the first of October to relocate down there. If anyone is near there please pm me as I wouldn't mind meet up with you once I get down there. This move will benefit my family and myself financially and also get my wife back down in the south.
If one is wondering where Murphy is, it is located down near the Ga and Tenn border.

I woudlnt say I am close... but I am not far thats for sure... according to mapquest I'm 5 hours from Murphy... not that far really We will definitely have to get together and do some fishing.

John, that is a 2 hour and 39 minute drive for me, via MapQuest.  So, I would say that it would be around 2 hours, which isn't bad.

I would suggest getting Georgia license and fishing Lake Blue Ridge and Carter's Lake.  They are around an hour or so from you, I would say.  

Here's hoping that you have a smooth transition from Maine to NC, and I hope that you enjoy that area.  It's in the mountains of NC, and you all usually get some decent snows in the winter, and some hellacious storms in the summer.    I am sure that you will love it though.
