LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN FULL, 44 DEGREES, STAINED

Bass fishing is fair and the flats up lake in the warmer coves have some crank bait fish active. Early start with the jigs and worms to entice any strike. The lower lake creeks are slow, but try the smaller dark Stanley jigs in black and silver with a small Uncle Josh trailer is fair, but use them slowly. Depths may be as deep as 30 feet. Fish any bank cover all the way to the boat, working the lure’s slowly in cover. The 1/2 ounce Hopkins spoon on and over the old trees and on road beds in the creek is a good cold water tactic. Fish deep cover and be patient and use a super sensitive rod.
