Lake Wylie Help

I'll be making a trip to Lake Wylie at the end of October for a Tournament. Anyone have any helpful hints so I make the best of my limited practice time? Or if you know of a good guide I can call upon for a half day trip? This will be my first time on this lake and any help would be appreciated.
