i went fishing in lake erie on monday morning for walleye i caught my limit it was a lot of fun...with my dad bro cuz and uncle...can't wait till next time
There is some great walleye fishing for sure in erie! But still way to much ice out there for me, i usually wait until the second week after they let the ice boom go, then most of the ice has gone down the river and over the falls.I find everything works in erie for eyes, dipsies, down riggin, and even flat lining, just depends what the pods of fish are doing, having a good understanding of your sonar is a must, running dipsies and flat lining around the reefs is my favorite way to fish them. :fishing01:Bodeen said:Now is the time to hit Erie for some really nice eyes. They fish the western basin hard around the reefs for the walleyes. Last winter a guy I know pulled up a 12 pound eye through the ice....now that would be sweet.
Lake Erie is the walleye capital of the world......it IS the WALLEYE MECCA!!!!!!!
