Wow ! the report got done the same day ( minus the pictures.. when I get those I will add a link to this to show the pictures. )
It was a windy day and I drew out with Jay who is deaf . So, communicating isnt to easy unless he is looking at me. We both landed one each ( we wont talk about my frustration of missing a few because I couldnt say STOP and be heard lol ) Mine was on the ALLURING 3.5 sweetbeaver watermellon red with a 1/4 oz tunsten pegged with a Gammy strait shanked superline 3/0 hook.
Im almost positive 2nd place and big bass winner was also off of an Alluring bait . and also 5th place was useing Alluring baits as well. ( I believe the brush hogs for both of them )
Now the write up
The South Lake Bass Anglers Fishing Club held it’s monthly fishing tournament on West Lake Toho. Launch site was at lake Front park in Kissimmee. With tropical storm Alberto to the north of us, the wealth of rain that the storm left was a much needed relief. First place went to Manolo Bejar of Orlando with a 5 fish limit weighting 11.39#. Second place was John Bloom Sr. of Groveland with 3 fish weighting 11.21# John also took big bass for the tournament with a 5.43# lunker. Third place from Clermont was Brian Olson with 4 fish weighting 7.85#.Fourth place goes to Paul McDonald of Clermont with 4 fish weighting 6.98#. and Fifth place was Brian Herndon of Clermont with 2 fish weighting 5.22#. the club had 17 entries with 13 anglers bringing 28 bass to the scales for a total of 61.17 lbs, 4 anglers did not bring any fish in .All fish were release back to be caught again. The South Lake Bass Anglers next meeting will be Tuesday July 11th at the Holiday Inn Express in Clermont. The clubs next tournament will be on Lake Walk-in the –Water.
