CLARKS HILL IS DOWN 3.3 FEET, 83 DEGREES AND STAINED

Bass fishing is slow. There some top water fish early and they will bite a Rico or Gunfish and a Fluke. During the day jump from shoals to primary and secondary points and throw a jig or drag plastic. Some anglers have found that the blue backs didn’t spawn in the normal places this year. Look on an rip rap like on the dam and rocky points. Fish top water in the blow through and points. Work the points and shoals with a magnum Zoom finesse worm on a 5/8 ounce spot remover in green pumpkin. Have the old Carolina rig and a lizard with the tail dipped in JJ’s Magic. Use a shaky head and a Zoom trick worm to the sides of docks. Look in Modoc Creek or Keg Creek for this bite. Some anglers are catching bass fishing the edges of the grass mats while using a seven inch rattle lightin' worm in the phantom pearl color by Storm baits. The crank bait is starting to get better and better as the bass are holding to the rip rap early in the morning. Throw the #5 and #7 Shad Rap in either the balsa wood or the RS models. Natural shad and fire tiger colors seem to be working the best.
