It's that time of year--check your equipment

If you haven't already or you haven't recently, its time to give your boat a good once over. Some things I thought of are: all your straps and tie downs, hoses(anything that carries water or fuel), tires, fire extinguisher, horn, lights, bilge pump, grease, lower unit gear oil, flashlights, trailer lights, life vests(do they need replacing or if you have inflater type vests are the canisters good) batteries, trolling motor prop and pin, and check your local, state and federal requirements--do you have everything you are required to have in case they happen to check you. These are just some ideas I had, if someone has more please add them. AND--when does your fishing licence expire? :D
Don't let your trip be ruined cause you forgot to check your "stuff". :(

This is kinda weird, i was just checking my boat and two of the storage compartments had frozen locks( not literally) thats something if you have storage compartments that dont get used very often you might want to check them every once and awhile. Dave

Most states dont require it. But i have found its a good idea to have plenty of spare fuses, extra plugs, a small tool kit never hurts if you have the room(with extra wire connectors and crimpers), also usually not required(although i think it should be) is a small medical kit with all the basic first aid supplys.

Just a couple thoughts.

Dave
Ive got a whole dang tool box in mine. Its came in handy too.
Have ya a set of jumper cables in there as well.
Thanks Gary! Since I don't have one can I help you? :poke:
You bet! It is going to be an honor to have you aboard!! 8) 8)
