Is the G.Loomis worth the price?

I am looking to upgrade my casting rods and I can't decide between a G.Loomis or a St.Croix . I was also looking at Powell and Kistler but hadn't heard too much about them one way or the other.
What do you guys and gals think?

My $0.02. If you are gonna spend the jack up a little more and go as big as you can afford you will not regret it.
