Is the G.Loomis worth the price?

I am looking to upgrade my casting rods and I can't decide between a G.Loomis or a St.Croix . I was also looking at Powell and Kistler but hadn't heard too much about them one way or the other.
What do you guys and gals think?
Thanks,

Absolutely worth it to me.
I started out with one rod about 5 or 6 years ago and bought three more when I worked some side jobs. My fish catch rate increased at least 50% because I could feel the slightest bumps and tics. I plan to buy more eventually, the heavy one pc. flippin stick is next and then a toad rod. The Shimano reels go great with these rods in my book. St. Croix are good too, but I am biased.
Don't hesitate, SET THE HOOK!
Hellabass is right if you want a worm / jig / flippin rod upgrade to GLX if it is for a toad or other sight / top water baits the GL3 is fine. The GLX gives you a lot more sensitivity.
