I finally got my humminbird in and come to find out the SI will not work due to my Skeeter zx202c because of the shape of the back of the boat. I'v contacted them and now they tell my I will have to do some modification to enable SI to work. They are suppose to email me some more info on how but to Skeeter owners lookn at SI
heres a heads up.

aww man that sucks! That should be something that is on the box, or site, that will make you aware of this before making the investment.

Is the modification going to be expensive? Have they informed you of what needs to be done yet? I am curious to hear the outcome of this.

They just emaild me back and sent me couple of pic's one show installed next to jackplate but after the first pic i askd: Now my question is how will this operate when boat is running on plane how will the sonar pick up out of the water? I know it wont.
Her reply was:The transducer would need to be in water to read. If the transducer looses contact with the water when on plane then you would loose readings. Another option may be to mount a dual beam XP 9 20 / XP 9 20 T (w/temp) in hull along with the ts2 w switch so you will have a high speed transducer and the SI xducer.
GREAT now I get to spend more money. Then I got some more pic's and I think Ill try the second one and hope for the best. I dont really know when boat is on plane where the water line is. I guess that would be the first place to start. Second pic shows a bracket to drop down and it will about be leval with livewell intakes.

The pics she sent me was a .doc format and it wouldnt allow me to post pics.

Sorry to hear that. Not sure I know what a SI is but in any event. Lowrance products are better anyway haha.

Out of curiosity, what is it about the Skeeter hull or pad that is so different from other boats that doesn't allow Skeeter to work with this sonar?

I am assuming by your problem, you were going to mount it at the console. I put an Lcx 111 hd on my skeeter console last year and have no desire to spend any more money right now, however my partner is thinking about buying one of those new hummingbird SI's and we would put it up front, kind of like a portable set up, some guys here have been doing this. Do you know of any problems mounting it up front on the zx series? Sorry to hear about your problem. Sucks to have a new toy and not be able to use it right away!

My problem is where the transducer mounts up. It says you must have a clear view on each side of t-ducer for SI to work.
With the Wings(as i call them) and contour of the back of a skeeter, the only option I have is to fabercate something to extend past the wings and contour of the back of the boat. or as skeeter calls them the stern sponcers and turning chine are im my way.
