Feb 9, 2013 Lake Guntersville – Spent the day on the lake with Casey Smith from New York enjoying some good weather and putting some good fish in the boat. We fished from Jones Creek to Roseberry with our best luck coming late in the day after the water warmed around 50 degrees, although we did catch a few nice fish early. We found our fish in 1-12 FOW all on, rattle baits from SPRO and Excalibur along with D-Bomb’s from Missile Baits. Most of our fish where in the 1-3 pound range, but we managed some 4 to 5 pounders in areas away from the crowds. Congratulations to the guys that caught 31 pounds for the win and the anglers with the four fish yesterday over 10 pounds including the co-angler that managed a 13.01 Guntersville Toad! Water temperatures started out at 47 and climbed to 51 degrees by the time we left. The main channel was starting to clear and had good color to it with some creeks we fished being clear for the most part. Please be careful on the main channel TVA is still spilling and it is covered at times with large sections of grass and wood that could turn a good day into a bad one in a hurry. I have days and full time USCG Licensed guides available to take you fishing; make your reservations now for some great spring action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford. Gift Certificates are available. We supply all fishing gear, lures, including A-rigs at no additional cost you, Military Discount and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
