June 21, 2013 Lake Guntersville – Summer is here and you can still catch some darn good fish; just ask Chris and Carl from Indiana. The guys put fish in the boat using Little John DD’s from SPRO, Buzz Baits, SPRO Dawg 100’s, ½ & ¾ ounce Tightline Football head jigs in Guntersville Special with D-Bombs for trailers and SPRO Bronze Eye Frogs…We found our best fish in 14-21 FOW with water temperatures starting out at 80 degrees and climbed to 83 as we departed the lake. The best producing lure today was Jigs with D-Bombs worked along current breaks and on ledges. There is grass topping out all over the lake, there appears to good growth of Milfoil this year and should make for a great frog and flipping bite starting somewhere around mid to late July. It’s getting warm out folks; drink plenty of water even in the mornings! Now is the time to make your reservations for the Summer Ledge and/or Grass fishing as well as frog season on Guntersville! Fall top water Smallmouth on Tim’s Ford is just around the corner. We have days available throughout June and the summer with full time Professional USCG Licensed/Insured guides. As always, we supply all fishing gear including Duckett Rods, LEW’s Reels, lures, and drinking water at no additional cost you, Military Discount and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
