State Representative Stephen Frost (D-Atlanta) wants to make Northeast Texans aware of a special program available at more than 70 of our state’s parks.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is promoting family fishing this summer by offering license-free fishing to anyone in these parks as well as fishing workshops throughout the state.
“Families are a big part of the state park experience,” said Frost.
“This is a great opportunity for folks to come spend a day fishing with their kids without having to worry about a license of a stamp. This is an excellent example of how Parks and Wildlife Department helps families spend time together and enjoy the outdoors. I encourage anyone who’s thought about going fishing to take advantage of this special opportunity.”
The license-free fishing program is available at Atlanta State Park, Dangerfield State Park and many other parks throughout Texas.
One may see which parks are participating at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s website at www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/programs/familyfish or by calling toll free 1-800-792-1112.
