I got my chatterbaits today from my dad. He lives in Texarkana and was able to get 2 from Gander Mountain for me. I had to work so if it wasn't for him I would still be empty handed. They have alot of the Gambler knock offs. I may go back to get some of those this afternoon.

I also picked up a bait that is made by Rebel. It is called a Buzz'n Frog. I have never seen it before but it is shaped like a frog and will work like a buzz bait. It still looks cool.

I have used the chatterbait since January and really like them. I have caught fish on Amistad (a crystal clear lake), Fayette County, TX where I guided (green water) and on Sam Rayburn when it was dirty. Caught fish on every lake in ever condition.

They are good baits and have become one of my favorites.

How do you fish these baits? I haven't gotten out yet to test them out. As soon as I get my camera working I will post pictures of the ones that I have.

I have fished them around all kinds of structure and cover...tress, grass, laydowns and even in open water. I usually use a stop, start or pumping action but I have also caught fish using a steady retrieve.
