What is everyones favorite crankbait? All time favorite one? Favorite one this season?

I'd have to say my all time favorite one is the Rapala SR5. However this season I have really been loving the Lucky Craft RC 1.5!

How bout all of you?

I like the dd22 purple back chartrues sides when they are eating it and I hate it when they aren't. This is the techniqe I need the most work in. Drew

I like the Lucky Craft CB250 in american shad.

This year I've returned to the Bagley original balsa B, bumping stumps on main lake humps. The chartreuse and shad have worked well in the clear water we have. I have one firetiger waiting for stained water.

If I could find more or atleast a company that made a bait of the same material and characteristics, Id probably have a totally different favoriet bait.

My dad had two Heddon Flatfish. One is Yellow with green and orange dots the other is black with large sized chrome metal flake. The latter of the two has caught me tons of fish! I use to love to chunk it out and reel it nice and slow so I could feel my rod throb.

I havent cast the bait in about 15 years tho for fear of losing it because it is the only one I own and because it was my dad's and has a lot of sentimental value. Id love to get some more so i can fish them tho. Talk about a deadly bait that fish just can NOT leave alone.

I have seen a lot of those flat fish baits at lure trading shows. I have a friend who collects old lures and you'd be suprised how in depth these guys get trying to find different rare stuff. Drew

For a lipped one = Lucky Craft RC 1.5

lipless = Probably a Rat L Trap or a Yozuri

Have you ever fished one? They have a WICKED thump when you crank em slow. I love it!
I have always thought about carving my own but... thus far I have not set myself to do it. I believe I could carve one though... just need to stop procastinating lol

I have one but it is orange with black dots. When my uncle took me fishing as a kid he would use one and put a terrible thumping on us with it but he was scared we would hang it up and lose it so I never got to use it. However I have never forgot it. Drew

Jared, Try yakima bait co. they make the flat fish. I got a line on them if you are interested.

I've been thinking about this one all week and can't quite make a decision, but I love a zara spook Jr. in bone white when you can get them to hit it (that was back in PA). But since coming to Florida I haven't been able to catch any on it, but the rattletraps and devils horse (both chart/blackback) have helped me out down here a bunch. Also this season I've picked up a couple different Lucky Craft baits and i'm trying to get some sort of technique figured out with them.

This is the first time i have heard of these. Rick Clunn had a hand in the design. Hmm the RC 1.5 is awesome and the price of these Thundershad is great! I think I will have to try some out very soon.
Have ya had much luck with them on Clarks Hill, Coach?

pointer78, shadrap "glass shad" 5 and 7, Fat free shad goin' deep, all in either blue back or shad colors(varies lake 2 lake), and the ORIGINAL wiggle wart in crawdad colors in early spring on stained water

My favorite crankbait last year was the Storm Subwart in Perch color. I caught 27 bass one day, but all were under 1 lb except for a 4 pounder.
