Want to double your chances at catching bass. Instead of using a weight on your drop shot rig use your favorite jig. Now you can fish with two baits instead of one.

Yup, I like to also use a shakey head as my drop shot weight as well. Shhhhhhh.

I met the Gman at a BPS and he gave a great short seminar on drop-shotting. He added a little twist to his rig which is worth mentioning.

Imagine if you will, the very bottom of his rig was a split ring, above that was a tungsten bead and he used a tungsten bullet weight above that. About 18 inches above that was his hook to complete the rig. What you end up with, is a rig that with every little shake or hop makes noise.

Anyone else do this?

This is a cool idea! and one I will definitely try next time a use a dropshot rig.
