I have the molds to make 2 different sizes of paddle-tail worms, and I have the starter mold that came from Lure Craft a couple of years ago. It has 3 different sizes of "finesse/trick" worms, a curl tail worm, a crappie grub, and a couple of other things.

I could make them, but I am running low on plastisol. LOL I have used the curl tail worm as spinnerbait trailers.

Ive been making a lot of my own baits for about the last 15 years or so. These days, about the only thing I mess with are pouring some of my own special plastics.

I have one custom mold and several bought ones. I have plans of having molds made for a few of my other customs soon.

As I said, they have great colors, but the price on them is high. Those are the kinda lures that you need to buy after you when the lottery. ;D

The price are pretty reasonable. High quality and very detailed. You don't find baits like that anymore. They kind of remind me of some of the older Heddon lures.

I carve topwater baits when I have the time. Haven't done it a while though I think it's time to start a new one.

Unlike most people, I don't put them on a shelf to show off. I take them straight down to the lake to catch fish. That's the reason I started making baits in the first place, I wasn't satisfied with anything the commercial bait companies had to offer.

Will post some pics after I finish my next project. :)

I carve my own lures once and a while also and or paint other companies baits to suit me. I have used Sharpies, Glitter and acrylic paint thus far. It is pretty fun really.

First is a lure I carved from a block of balsa wood and painted with glitter entirely. I sealed it with 2 ton epoxy.

Second is a lure I am very proud of. It is another lure I have carved from balsa wood and I used a gold candy wrapper from a large Dove Gold bar. I painted the top black and added some foil on the bottom to give it a white flash. I sealed it with 2 ton epoxy also and I have caught 10 bass and several Pickeral on this lure thus far. My biggest bass on it is 6.2 lbs.

Last bait is a $1.98 special I bought at Wal Mart I think Renegade? Anyway, I painted it in the Rayburn Red pattern that XCalibur uses.

Cool looking baits TXbasschick. Have you caught bass on them?

For me that is the biggest thrill I could ever have. Carving and then painting a lure that fools my favorite fish is a huge thrill.

Had a cupple bass playing with the first lure I made and the Creek Chick, but the other bass lures I havent taken fishing yet. The saltwater baits, were made for a guy that payed for them but gave me a bad number and I havent heard from him, since april! So they havent hit the water yet eather. The Ol Tymer was sold it to a guy up in MN,and i think he told me he caught a sm muskie on it.

im kinda jealous, i wish i had the patience to make my own lures like that. The only thing i can manage to do is modify a bait or two- and that usually ends up with me getting aggravated and something being thrown. By the way welcome to the bassholes txbasschick!!!!!! Dave
