Last night my friend Lisa and a couple of her friends came over to my house to fish in my pond. We backed my 14' aluminum in the pond and I set Lisa and I both up with a fluke. She had never used one but had a ball and caught about 6 fish on it. Her boyfriend was so jealous that she was catching bass and he couldnt lol She kept rubbing it in, everytime she caught one too lol

The best fish caught was about 4 lbs. I caught her on a white Terminator buzzbait. Everyone was confused when I let it go though. I explained that "these are my children" lol I told them that they could keep all the brim and crappie they caught but they gotta release every bass, I didnt care if it was 10 inches or 10lbs.

I got Lisa hooked on Megastrike too. She was freaking out because I cast my fluke out, after rubbing it down with megastrike, let it set there while i fixed her bait and when I picked my rod back up I had a bass on it lol She thought that meant you could use the Megastrike and not have to work the bait ever, instead just let it sit there like you were brim fishin. I explained to her that it was just dumb luck that the fish ate it while it sat there and most often you need to work it.

Anyway, we had a good time and about a dozen or so bass were caught. Lisa guaranteed me that she is ordering some megastrike and heading to walmart to get some flukes lol I love it! :thumbup01:

Oh by the way, I finally caught some fish on my new Loomis!

One of the guys who was there fishing with us asked if he could use my rod and then pointed to my loomis... I couldnt keep it from flying out "hell no!" lol I quickly appologized and explained that that rod was my baby and that if he needed a rod I had others he could use. He understood and even got a laugh out of how fast I said "hell no" lol

Its good to hear you caught a fish on your new rod. I love when you catch a fish on a new one, and you can feel the different rods and how they react to the fish. Different rods have different feel. Take for instance your loomis, if you compare that to how a fish feels on a Cheap Walmart rod, its not comparable. Not only is it nice to catch fish, but the fight experience is even better. Why do you think people fight sharks and cut the line? Cause the fight is magical...
