Crappie are moving up on Chicamauga lake and their biting! Lots of the folks are reporting good catchs on the Hiwassee river arm of the lake. Also, down lake is doing pretty good. Most are being caught trolling jigs and grubs. A few are reporting good catchs on minnows.
The bass fishing is picking up some. The fish are moving up in the shallows and a few reports of tubes and jig and pig are picking up a few. With the on coming warm weather predicted this week things should really be picking up.
Just a note. The statewide crappie limit was moved to 15 instead of 30 this year. Be sure to check the new regs before taking off.
