Colorado's Boyd Lake Closing to Boating
LOVELAND, CO. - Boyd Lake State Park will close to boating on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. due to the onset of winter and the seasonal closure of the aquatic nuisance species (ANS) vessel inspection stations. All waters in the park will be closed to both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. During the boating season, ANS inspectors at Boyd Lake inspected over 25,000 vessels, applied over 7,000 ANS vessel inspection seals, and decontaminated 24 vessels.
Boyd Lake will reopen to boating on March 1, 2012, as the weather allows.
