Getting a mental image of Rodney Dangerfield in the movie ' back to school ' lol
Yes, they do. They fished the Lake Dardanelle tournament for college teams earlier this spring hosted by Arkansas Tech. Oklahoma, OSU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and a bunch of other schools (26 teams in all as I recall) participated. This was the second year Tech sponsored the tourney. It was a great event and they plan on doing it again next year and for many years to come. I do have some reservations about the future of the event because it has been put together by volunteers and students and BASS has taken a real interest in this now. I really do not wan't to see BASS or ESPN make a move to begin taking control of these events because the colleges and students have done a great job of getting these programs going. If ESPN sees a way to make a buck out of it, they will try. Can ya tell I do not care too much for ESPN? Sorry, I'll get off my soap box.jrbasser said:Does Texas A&M have a fishing team?
