This is a very simple method of imitating eggs for float or fly fishing and MUCH Cheaper than real roe!
Simply buy the small pom poms from your local craft store. They cost me 59 cents for 40 in a bag. Choose whatever colors you like, personally I like pink for trout. It just seems to work. Now all you need is a sewing needle and some thread, and some #8 or #10 steelhead hooks (or smaller if you like). String 5 or 6 "eggs" on the yarn and tie it to the hook. Experiment with more or less eggs in clear/dirty water. Best of all its fun testing out your own inventions on the river.
