Fish the Butler Chain for plenty of schooling-sized largemouth bass. The fish are very active throughout daylight hours. Use jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, diving plugs and topwater lures. Fish deeper, grassy waters with shiners or jigging spoons for bigger fish.
OTHER TOP SPOTS: It's often overlooked, but Lake Ivanhoe remains good for largemouth bass. Fish near lily pads with plastic lizards, worms and jerkbaits. . . . Lake Toho remains good for largemouth bass. Fish are in deep, grassy waters, feeding on shiners. Fish at night for crappie.
