LOL I think that I caught a stocked trout in the one of the creeks around my house one day. I think that it was like 6" long. It was caught on the same day that I caught my only smallmouth to date, which was about the same length.
My biggest is about the same size as yours Sir Catch Alot... around 17" I caught it out of The Housatonic River in Kent, CT. These days I am not able to trout fish. The closest trout stream to me is probably about 4 hours away.
Mine is estimated as I never weighed them. I would estimate Rainbow at about 3-3.5lbs? They weren't real long but super fat chunks. I caught several like this in a Alpine lake at 11,000 feet in Colorado. I had one on that looked every bit of 7lbs as it jumped and tossed my rattle trap. Yep, I even catch Trout on lipless haha.
I've caught Steel Head over 20lbs :victory: When I was stationed at Ft Drum NY. Caught a Brown Trout a couple of days back it was over 20" didn't weigh it. Browns and Bookies are basically what we have in WI.
Went out again today and caught a nice bunch of Browns size ranged from 16" to 20" . Caught them on streamers and Pink Squirrels that I tied myself,We have some of the best streams in the USA here in Wisconsin In My Opinion.
10 lb 2 oz rainbow Big Bear lake, CA. (spoon)
15 lb brown, Pleasant Valley lake, CA. (chub)
21 lb lake trout, Crow lake, Ontario Canada. (spoon)
16" Golden trout, High Sierra, CA. (fly)

Don't fish for trout too much anymore, with the exception of rainbows at Big Bear each summer.
