Well my first tournament went well I placed 23rd out of 200 and got a $185 paycheck. The weather was nice but very windy. There was about 2-3 foot waves and was a very ruff ride. I cought 3 fish and weighed 2 for a total of 6-7. One fish weighed 4.5lbs. I learned alot and am looking forward to my next one.

thanks for all the support. I caught two on a SR-8 shad rap in fire tiger and one on a jerkbait. My boater limited and culled one, he placed 9th and caught his on cranks, jerkbait and rattle trap. We fished points in about 10-14 feet of water casting to 1 foot and bringing it down the points and across them. Most of the fish we caught were just coming from the deeper water. Alot of guys were catching them on chrome/blue rattle traps. Go for the shallow water bite that is were it is. It was very windy and the bite stopped when the wind came. We caught 6 keepers by 8:30 off of one point. I dont know were we were catching them because it was my first time there. Alot of people were catching them up river though.
