I fished all day yesterday in the rain on Lake Tarpon and had the best day I've ever had anywhere! Started with 2 5lb'ers, then a solid 6lb'er, followed by 5 or 6 3lb'ers, and ended the day with a 9lb'er. Then, it was time to start the Tuesday night tournament which starts at 6pm, and all of those fish I caught durring the day came from spots I don't normally fish. For the 3 hour tournament I had a solid bag anchored by a 5.82lb'er and missed big fish by less than a pound. I finished 3rd with 16lb's but more importantly, had a day of fishing that I'll never forget! It poured down rain all day, until weigh in so the only pic I got due to the rain (digital camera), was my 5.82lb'er. It was the first time since my dad passed away 2 years ago that I truly felt like I was back in the zone and focused on the job at hand. My dad was such a big part of my life that I have found it difficult these past 2 years to focus, but yesterday and last night he was cheering me on.
