Looks like the anglers in the Southern Tour are still reaping the benefits of the massive spawn that the Pro Anglers found on Santee. Although the top weight for Day #1 was not as large as the sacks that the Pro's brought in, it was still impressive at 29 lbs. 2 oz. This stringer was caught by Boyd Duckett, who is an Alabama angler.

I see Terry bombed out on the first day... Tighten up ' REB '.

2nd place angler, James Niggemeyer, unseated the Day #1 leader at the Santee Cooper Southern Tour tournament on Day #2, with a weight of 50 lbs. 6 oz., which is 8 lbs. + over the Alabama Pro that had the Day #1 lead, Boyd Duckett, who had 42 lbs. 5 oz.

Hopefully the foul weather that swept through Tennessee and Georgia will not hit Santee today, and will allow the anglers to have another great dayon the water.

James Niggemeyer has won the Southern Tour tournament on Santee Cooper. During the three days, Niggemeyer totaled 64 lbs. 5 oz., which beat South Carolina angler Jason Williamson who weighed in 62 lbs. 10 oz.

Day #1 leader, Boyd Duckett, finished in third with 59 lbs. 7 oz. Bryan Hudgins, from Orange Park, Florida, finished in 4th with 59 lbs. 4 oz., and in 5th place was Cecil Wolfe, from Goose Creek, S.C., with 57 lbs. 3 oz.

Niggemeyer hails from Lindale, Texas and Williams hails from Aiken, S.C.

Looks like even though the BASS Pro Anglers did well on Santee, that the fishing did not diminish all that much for the Southern Tour Anglers.

Congrats to James Niggemeyer on his win.
Congrats
