Well I just received in the mail my OFAH "Avid Angler" Award certificate and pin. Only 49 people in Ontario were marked as Avid Anglers this year. To become an avid angler you have to catch trophy sized fish of at least 5 different species. My trophies this year were smallmouth bass (19.5"), largemouth bass (22"), Muskie (42"), Salmon (42.5"), Panfish (12" Perch) and Carp (30").
I have e-mailed the OFAH awards program about adding channel catfish to the list of species available for awards.
This is the 2nd year in a row that I've managed to win the avid angler award and something I'm very proud of. Just thought I'd share!
