My friend Kenny and I went fishing this morning on the Lucy Chain. It was a pretty miserable day for us.
I had 2 bites and landed them, the entire 4 1/2 hours we fished. Both came off a Zoom HornyToad ( white )

I got the first one after about 30 minutes of fishing and figured we was gonna do pretty good. He ( bass ) was probably about 12 1/2 inches long . He nailed the Horny Toad out of some grass that was in open water.

About 45 minutes later I get hooked up once again on the Horny Toad . Now, this one surprised me , as it was the first time I ever caught a ' JACK ' out of this chain of lakes. Ive caught numerous Gar and Mudfish, but never a Jack from here.

That was the highlite of the day with those 2 fish. We didnt get another bite and left at a little after 11.

Well look on the bright side... atleast you didnt get completely skunked and you wouldnt have come back to the scales with an empty bag

Very true Jared lol. With our exemption cards we get for our club tournaments , they have to be 12 inches or above.
However , he wasnt a keeper for today though ( have to be 14 inches )

The reason I went  with the white Horny Toad is because of this ( which was taking from there )

He is from another club from the north end of the county ( I forget his name now )
