Hi guys could use some help. Took the boat out today after about a month of sitting around with no use. Starts right up and idels perfectly. Put it in gear and still runs great. Push the pedal down and starts to run erratically gets up on plane then doesn't have power and then the power comes back its almost like its not getting gas but i have no idea. What should i look for before i take it in to the shop? Thanks

Probably gummed up a little. I would do a shock treatment with sea foam first

Check out the fuel. Could be phase separation after sitting. Ethanol is nasty stuff on a boat motor. unscrew the fuel filter off the engin and dump it in a clear jar let it sit for a while and see what the fuel looks like.

Check the fuel filter, the ethanol could have gummed it up. Also pull one end of the fuel line off and see if the liner is separating. Mine did and it will take off fine, but then start starving for fuel.
