This is the 13 lbs. 13 oz Channel Cat that I caught from Rocky Mountain 3 weekends ago. It was caught on a CastAway 6'9" MH Pro Sport casting rod, a Shimano 200B casting reel, 10 lbs. Berkley Big Game mono, on a modified C-rig with a 1/0 circle hook.

Thanks. Needless to say, I changed the line out, and now I have 12 lbs. test line. I thought several times, with that cat running around as it pleased, that it would bust that 10 lb. all to pieces. Luckily, it didn't.

She got filleted up and we even got the belly meat off of her, which, surprisingly enough, could have been confused for decent sized steaks! Of course, the color wasn't the same color, but the size and thickness were the same.

I am hoping that we can get some more in the freezer this summer.
