Default Fall vertical jigging

In the spring we vertical jig silver buddies up of the bottom for smallies just started doing this couple years ago and still learning Will this work in the fall also?

Yes it can and does work. Also try jiggin a chatterbait in places of the silverbuddy, it might just get your arm broke.

We start jiggin blades when the water temps drops off into the 40's around here.

Blade baits are good vertical jigging lures, structure spoons are better IMO for LMB. You can vertical jig year around when bass are located on deeper structure or feeding on baitfish schools.

going to try it this Sunday got bunch them chatter baits see if I can find where the bait fish are schooling and look for some big ones on the bottom

jigging spoons in the late fall for smallmouth work great. I have seen guys win tournaments jigging spoons off the bottom in Lake Erie. Smallies love them. I'll be getting some this year for sure.

Walleye love them jigging spoons too late in the year. Use a lot of buckshot spoons as well as the ones mentioned above.

We catch a lot of fish verticle jigging here. If you can find a big school of baitfish out in deep water, you can usually catch some of the bigger fish by jigging a spoon under the baitfish. This will sometimes be the only way to get those bigger fish to bite.
