Small lake fall fishing
I fish a small 70 acre lake. I here alot about fish in the fall chasing shad, unfortunatly there are no shad in this lake. Last year I threw alot of spinner baits and cranks. This year I am committed to throwing jigs with rage craw trailers, It seems I am waisting alot of time finding the fish. There are no creek channels to key on and most of the banks are deep drop offs, 5 feet from the bank is anywhere from 9 to 12 feet deep. Water Temps. Have dropped from low 80's to mid 60's. I would love to here from some of you jig guys, should I go out in the middle or do you think a jig thrown to the bank in this deeper water would be better in the fall. The water level this year is down about 6 feet from normal, the few shallow spots that the bass were spawing in are high and dry. Just curious about how some of you would approach this..
