Tomorrow I am headed to the lake and I will have tied on:

spinnerbait
shad rap sr5
drop shot
scrounger
a split shot rig
a jig
a shakey head.

Though the water I will be fishing will be a bit warmer than everywhere else as it is artificially heated by the power plant on the lake.

If you fish deep structured lakes the Cosmic Clock indicates fall ends about 58 degree water temps and transitions to winter.
Don't expect bass to be active more than short time periods and when they active bait fish should be the primary prey with crawdads being preferred during the less active periods.
Watch for bait fish schools approaching ambush zones such as points or humps and use lures that work well at the depth the bass are feeding.
We are talking outside main lake areas or large creek arms that nearly the same as main lake areas.
Structure spoons, blade baits or ice jigs.
Drop shot, nail waited or slip shot soft plastics
Jigs
Deep smaller size crank bait or traps
Swimbaits
Twin spins or under spins
Sammy's or Spooks
These are my go to lures for the next 3 months.
Tom
PS; that was about 30 minutes of work with 1 finger
Well I am glad the topic could trigger such hard work and effort Great response

I'll be using FnF, Rattle Trap, Crank bait, And a Spot Remover when I go out this week. If that doesn't work then I'll use my hand made go to lure. Here's a pic.
